absolutely stunning inside and a great pint!! i soooo wish it got more attention i think maybe the communication outside could be stronger but if you’re visiting definitely go visit. The pilsner pint is one of the best pints in whitby. They offer a lot of great food!! Honestly were planning on returning next year and hope they are still here because during the summer it would be stunning!!

A really nice spot for a drink! The lass behind the bar was super friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back to try the food when the kitchen’s open.

Really nice bar, slightly quirky to have huge organ pipes above the bar serving area! Some good, well kept beers on tap. Service was good. Food looked amazing although we didn't have any. Some really great photos showing the lighthouses on the walls. Would come back again.

Our first ever review! Thank you so much and come back to see us soon!
Lovely old Methodist hall convert to a nice bar, keeping a lot of the period featured, including the organ. Very friendly staff and a good range of draft local ales, at a reasonable price. They serve Korean street food, which we had. It was quick and very tasty. I would recommend , a very welcome break from the busy street outside!

Thank you very much for your very positive review. We do our best to pass on the best prices to our customers. My main concern, as business owner, is that people might struggle to afford a night out so we do what we can with our suppliers and make sure that our own ales are as affordable as possible. Our ales are always freshly brewed.
The food at The Meeting Place has just been taken over by Yuzu Street kitchen. I had the Pulled Pork Bao Buns and Katsu Fries. A huge mound of tasty sweet spicy pork on a fluffy bun. Absolutely brilliant.

Lovely new spot for a beer in Whitby. The building is a renovated 1901 chapel with gorgeous tiles. Dog friendly, chilled atmosphere. Didn’t try the food but the menu looked reassuringly small.

Thanks v much for your positive review. Come back and see us soon!
Beautifully restored chapel and a lovely place for a little peace in the busy old streets of Whitby. We couldn't fault it. Good food and good service. A change from the usual seaside cafes. The tables are well spread out and it is all very stylish.

Stumbled across this place. A respectful make over of a beautiful building creating a welcoming space. Great for a tasty pint of one of the delicious Helmsley beers. Look forward to trying the food next time.
